This is a full scan of a promotional booklet that Monsanto put together in 1968 for the tragically now-deceased Tomorrowland attraction “Adventure Thru Inner Space” at Disneyland. Besides great renderings of the ride, there’s also lovely and informative blurbs on Monsanto and the concept of “better living through chemistry”. The first 2 images are the front and back postcard covers, while the rest is the actual booklet inside. At the bottom is the best ATIS website on the planet, as well…

I loved this ride as a kid. Thanks for sharing these images. I managed to get hold of the DVD which replicates the ride in its original form. I was sorry to see it go. When I went back as a brazen yet inexperienced teenager, I felt my stomach knot when I saw it had been replaced by Star Tours. Chilldhood had definitely ended.
When it was still around, I remember going on it at least a dozen times each trip. If only they had left the 60’s Tomorrowland alone, it would be all the rage again right now. Dumb shits. Funny thing is, there’s rumors that (get this) they may put the f*cking Peoplemover back where it was in the first place. 🙂
Gorgeous! I *think* these marker renderings were from Colin Campbell, but I can’t be sure… Thanks for posting!
Great post! Thank you for sharing!
